David has most recently worked as a digital artist but a computer failure earlier this year has encouraged him to go back to more traditional techniques. This work is created using watercolour. The judges loved the depth and texture in this work.

Peter is an experienced professional print maker and this piece is created using the reduction linocut method. This image is an imaged postage stamp and is 20cm square. Peter has created a print edition of 4 of this print and they are available in his shop, along with other prints in the series.

Fiona is an artist-printmaker and this work is created using multiple block reduction linocut. The judge Ruth Singer loved the refined palette and texture. Fiona has created an edition of 10 of these prints which are available from her shop
Highly Commended
When selecting the prizes for the LSA awards, the judges created a shortlist of works they really loved. "We have decided to award these Highly Commended and have created an online gallery page of these works," says Ruth Singer, "Which look wonderful together in a group."
